Arroz Con Gandules

Imagen
Step into the world of Puerto Rican cuisine with our restaurant's signature dish: Arroz con Gandules. This traditional Puerto Rican rice and pigeon peas dish is a flavorful journey to the heart of the Caribbean. At our establishment, we take pride in crafting this classic dish with authentic ingredients and time-honored techniques. Rice with Gandules starts with aromatic sofrito, a blend of peppers, onions, garlic, and herbs, sautéed to perfection. Then, we add tender pigeon peas, giving the dish its distinctive texture and taste. The rice is cooked in a savory broth infused with spices like sazón and adobo, ensuring every grain is bursting with flavor. Whether served as a hearty main course or a comforting side dish, Arroz con Gandules is a staple of Puerto Rican cuisine, symbolizing family, tradition, and celebration. Join us at our restaurant and savor the essence of Puerto Rico with each delectable bite of our Arroz con Gandules.

When this idea happens???

12 years ago, I prepared my first dish with my grandpa rice, beans, and steak obviously he was there all the time, I was 6 years old. I've always believed that was the moment I knew I wanted to do this. My father studied culinary arts and my mother studied the baking program, so although I liked it, it had a lot of influence. One day talking to my grandfather I decided that this was what I wanted to do, Cook. Talking about this with my grandfather he told me that he wanted to have a restaurant, and that motivated me over the years the idea came up, the name I wanted to prepare. 3 years ago, I had to move from Puerto Rico to Wisconsin so the idea of opening the restaurant in Puerto Rico was discarded. But I saw this as a unique opportunity because the area where I'm located doesn't have Puerto Rican restaurants so it's something new in the area and unique.
